How Do You Handle Life’s Big Unknowns?
My family and I are navigating some big uncertainties right now. The kind that could change a lot about our daily lives. But with so many moving parts and shifting circumstances, we’re in a season of waiting and unknowns.
And let me tell you — it’s been a rollercoaster.
Even with all the tools I have, all the coaching I’ve done (and received!), uncertainty still feels deeply uncomfortable. The not knowing. The imagining of every possible outcome, good or bad. The sense of wanting to do something…but not being sure what the right “something” is.
And I know I’m not alone.
Uncertainty has become a part of everyday life for so many of us — whether it’s personal decisions, health, work, or just the world feeling like it changes minute by minute.
But there’s one thing I keep coming back to: the reminder that I’ve been through big changes before — and made it through.
Here’s something that helps me right now:
✨ Look back at past changes.
Draw a timeline of your life from age 0 until now. Mark any major transitions or turning points — moves, career changes, relationships, health shifts. Notice how change often comes in cycles.
When I look back at my own timeline, I ask myself:
What helped me cope back then?
What support did I have?
What skills or strengths did I discover in myself?
What would I tell the younger me who was going through it?
Often, I can see that even the messy, stressful times eventually made sense. Or led to something better than I could have imagined.
✨ Trust the process.
I remind myself that clarity usually comes in small steps, not all at once. And that it’s okay to be in a season of waiting.
✨ Create moments of stillness.
I’m trying (imperfectly) to have small pockets of quiet in my day — just sitting without devices, breathing, noticing how I feel. Even five minutes can shift me out of my anxious brain and help me reconnect to myself.
✨ Stay open to joy.
Uncertainty doesn’t mean we can’t find fun, laughter, or moments of connection. I’m reminding myself that life doesn’t have to be on pause while I wait for answers.
So if you’re feeling uncertain right now, please know you’re not alone. You’re doing better than you think. And you’ve already handled so much more than you give yourself credit for.
I’m right here with you. 💛

P.S. If you know someone who’s going through a time of uncertainty, feel free to forward this to them. We could all use a little extra support right now.
